Rules and forms for PhD Students

Remember that:- All supplementary activities must be approved- Any absence must be communicated to the Coordinator- Absences of more than 30 consecutive days lead to the interruption of any scholarship payment - Unexplained and prolonged absences can provide the loss of the PhD student status.



An email sent by the Supervisor to the Coordinator to state that this activity is related to your research project

1) An email sent by the Supervisor to the Coordinator to state that this activity is related to your research project.2) To fill the form available in MyPortal -> U-Web missioni -> nuova richiesta (new claim) 3) If the conference or workshop is outside Italy, to fill the form available at the following link depending on the fact that you have a scholarship or not:with scholarship without scholarship and send it to the Coordinator.4) A Certificate of attendance provided by the organizers of the conference/workshop/school
If you have a grant supporting the attendance of the conference/workshop/school, you also need:1) All receipts in original (boarding passes included)2) When you are back, to fill the form available in MyPortal -> U-Web missioni with the receipts in attachment. This form must be delivered to the Segreteria amministrativa of the Department (via S. Faustino, 74/B).
1) A formal letter of invitation by the external institution.2) An email sent by the Tutor to the Coordinator to state that this activity is related to your research project.2) To fill the form in MyPortal -> U-Web missioni -> nuova richiesta (new claim).3) If the external institution is outside Italy, to fill the form available at the following link depending on the fact that you have a scholarship or not:with scholarship without scholarship and send it to the Coordinator.4) A formal declaration provided by the external institution at the end of the visiting period.
If you have a grant supporting the visiting period, you also need:1) All receipts in original (boarding passes included)2) When you are back, to fill the form available in MyPortal -> U-Web missioni with the receipts in attachment. This form must be delivered to the Segreteria amministrativa of the Department (via S. Faustino, 74/B).
Each PhD student, with the exception of the PhD students holding a position with "Mantenimento del trattamento stipendiale", has a fund that can be used to support research activities (for example, to attend conferences, summer schools,...). The amount you do not use in the second year can be used in the third year.  You need:1) An email sent from your Tutor to the Coordinator, to approve that the activity you propose is useful for your research project.2) To apply (please ask to Segreteria amministrativa of the Department, via S.  Faustino, 74/B).
